What is eSIM?

How do I know if my phone supports eSIM?
iPhone: Settings → General → About → EID. Android: Settings → About → EID, or dial *#06#. 32-digit EID = eSIM confirmed.
Can I keep my home number?
Yes. Keep home SIM for calls and texts, use eSIM for local data. This dual-SIM setup is the most popular traveler configuration.
Does eSIM work across all of Europe?
Regional plans cover all 27 EU member states. EU Roam Like at Home ensures no extra charges. Many plans include Switzerland, Norway, and the UK.
Is eSIM secure?
Yes. Profiles cryptographically bound to device EID. Cannot be cloned. eUICC achieves EAL4+ security certification.
No data after activation?
Check: eSIM enabled, Data Roaming on, toggle Airplane Mode, manual network selection, restart device.
Will factory reset delete my eSIM?
Yes. Save QR code screenshot before resetting. Check provider's reinstallation policy.
